Senior Health Fitness

As residents get older, more emphasis is placed on senior fitness exercises that won't put too much stress on the body but will continue to build muscle and enhance flexibility. Exercises might include cardiovascular activity such as senior bodybuilding and stretching for seniors. All the exercise programs we offer at our facility are geared towards helping our residents stay strong and independent as long as possible.

Avamere Twin Oaks of Sweet Home provides service in two ways:

  1. We provide short-term, more intensive rehabilitation services to heal and restore physical ailments.
  2. We offer personally crafted senior fitness regimens for longer term residents to help keep daily living enjoyable and pain free.

The ultimate objective of our senior fitness program is to provide seniors with the strength and muscle tone needed to continue to perform activities of daily living, and remain independent in and out of the home. And remember, the best defense against aging and disability is a good offense! We believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
